How to sew the fanny pack (a pdf sewing pattern is provided)
Today’s handcrafted goods is “DIY fanny pack". PDF sewing pattern for download is available.
Materials
Outer body fabrics, 28cm by 18cm are 2 pieces. (Seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)
Upper gussets, 5.5cm by 35cm are 2 pieces. (Seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)
35cm nylon coil zipper.
Lower gusset is 10cm by 43cm. (Seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)
For tabs, 6cm by 5cm are 2 pieces. (Seam allowances are included)
Inner body fabrics, 28cm by 18cm are 2 pieces. (Seam allowances are included)
Upper gussets, 5.5cm by 35cm are 2 pieces. (Seam allowances are included)
Lower gusset is 10cm by 43cm. (Seam allowances are included)
For shoulder strap is 10cm by 82cm. (Seam allowances are included, attach interfacing)
Shoulder’s side fabrics, 7cm by 12cm are 4 pieces. (Seam allowances are included)
Make shoulder strap and tabs
1. Fold the hems (1cm), and fold the center.
When making creases, it is recommended to use an sewing ruler for iron. The folds are neat and the finish is nicely.

3. Sew the shoulder and shoulder’s side fabrics together.
4. Turn inside out, and stitch the edges.
5. For tabs, fold the hems and fold in half.
Make bag body (outer)
1. Sew the upper gussets and zipper with right side together.
2. Stitch the edge.
Nylon coil zipper, unlike metal zipper, are thin and soft. Making it easy to adjust their length.
3. Sew the tabs on upper gusset.
4. Sew the upper and lower gusset with right side together.
5. Press seam allowances to lower side, and stitch.
6. Sew the shoulder strap on one outer fabric.
7. Sew the outer body fabrics and gusset with right side together. (Unzip)
※Be careful about your corners.
Make bag body (inner)
1. Fold the edge of upper gussets.
2. Sew the inner body, same way as the outer.
Sew the outer and inner together
1. Insert the inner bag into the outer bag, with right side out. Then sew the edges.
2. It’s done.
