How to sew the patched place mat
Today’s handcrafted goods is “patched place mat".
Fabrics
Main fabrics are 9 pieces. (11cm by 11cm, seam allowances are included.)
Other fabrics “a" are 2 pieces. (3.5cm by 29.6cm, seam allowances are included.)
Fabrics “b" are 2 pieces. (3.5cm by 33.2cm, seam allowances are included.)
Fabric “back" is 1 piece. (33.5cm by 33.5cm, seam allowances are included.)
Make the front fabric
Divide 9 fabrics into A, B and C. Then sew with right side together.
Sew the remaining fabrics, do the same way.
Sew the A and B with right side together.
Then sew the C with right side together. It’s front fabric.
Sew the “a" and “b"
Sew the front fabric and “a fabrics" with right side together.
Then press the “a fabrics" to out side.
Sew the front fabric and “b fabrics" with right side together.
Then press the “b fabrics" to out side.
Sew the front and back together, and finish
Sew the front and back with right side together, leaving 10cm open for turning.
Turn inside out,…
and iron.
Then stitch the edge, it’s done.
