How to sew a tiny tote bag (sewing pattern is not necessary)
Today’s handcrafted goods is “DIY tiny tote bag".
Fabrics
Outer bag fabric, 34cm by 22cm. (1cm seam allowances are included. attach interfacing)
Fusible interfacing gives fabric firmness, and keeps shape of tote bag.
Bag lining fabric, 34cm by 22cm. (1cm seam allowances are included)
For handles, 18cm by 4.5cm. 4 pieces. (1cm seam allowances are included. One handles, attach interfacing)
Make bag body (outer)
Fold the outer fabric in half with right side together, and sew the side seams. (Don’t sew 3cm from the bottom.)
Cut off extra cloth, and press seam allowances open. Then make gusset, and sew.
Make bag body (inner)
Make inner bag body in the similar way as outer bag. (Difference:leaving 6cm open for turning.)
Make handles
Sew the handle fabrics with right side together, and press seam allowances open.
Then fold the edges (1cm), and fold the center. Sew the edge.
Sew the parts and finish
Sew the outer body and handles together.
Insert the inner bag into the outer bag, with right side together. Then sew together.
Turn inside out, and sew the hem.
Then do the ironing, and stitch the edge of bag mouth. It’s done.
